huy guys how can the hero increase his magic circle

i looked everywhere ,and because there was a rune you need to get the high levels off the magic circle to use it.

In order to increase magic circle, you need to be a
in G1: Fire/Water Magician or a Novice/Templar.
in G2: Fire Magician

You should talk to the leader of your magic guild.
in G1: Corristo, Saturas, Baal Cadar
in G2: Pyrokar, Karras, Parlan

well thanks both for helping but i am a paladin now and i finish gothic many times
but still can not now how .i asked Pyrokar, hee had nothing for me :confused: and gothic 1 i now how??

Paladin is not able to increase his magic circles. He is only able to use runes that have been made for the paladins. These runes would be:

Harm Evil, Destroy Evil, Holy Arrow, Holy Light, Greater Healing, Medium Healing, Lesser Healing.

well i know this but here is what i want .
there is this rune that is made for fear . well in gothic 1 i used it but i had the needed cicle. now in gothic 2 i can not now where to increase my circle.

You are not able to use "Fear" as a paladin. Only a magician can use it.

really well in gothic 2 i only konw that you can only bee a mercinere or a paladin .well plz what should i do know to be one"magician"? should i repeat the game and go straight to the monostary and work my self up from there or what?? :confused:

Maybe you are a little confused when you played G1, and then in G2 you have not the freedom to learn magic everywhere.
If you want to play as a magican, the only way to do so is join the firemages, and yes, this would mean a new game to start for you, but why don´t you give it a try as a Paladin, next time you play G2 you can play as a magican (everyone should once play as an magican, or what do you think guys?).

well i will give it a try . but i went bee that happy since i do not like magic stuff that lot i like swords and weapons :)

If you want to play as a magican, the only way to do so is join the firemages, and yes, this would mean a new game to start for you, but why don´t you give it a try as a Paladin, next time you play G2 you can play as a magican (everyone should once play as an magican, or what do you think guys?).

Its fun to listen how those arrogant paladins become so nervous and start acting like little girls when a firemage adresses them. Mainly for this reason everyone should choose mage's path atleast for once :)

I like that shape of a magican,... a wise guy,... don´t look dangerous but unreachable,... he have the migth to wipe out a whole city with some fingersnapings... (Yeah, i love LotR)...

I like that part, when you take paladins ship and talk to ship guards while being magician.

Yes. The dialog with the shipguards as a magician is one of the best in G2(+NotR).
The dialog, when you tracing the murder of Lothar, with the secretary Cornelius as a magician is very good, too.


So the respect you will earn as a magician in Gothic2 is a nice little bonus. ^^

If you want to join the monastery, you have to get 1000 gold coins and buy a sheep from Pepe(Sheperd at Onar's farm), for 100 gold coins. Then bring the sheep to the monastery and pay 1000 gold coins and you will be admitted as a novice. After that you need to work your way up in the monastery and become a magician.
