12 Chalices question (can't find the last one)

So I played GOTHIC 3 for about 50 hours and then took a break last July.
Since then I've kind of forgotten about things and the quest log is only so detailed.:mad:

I went to the cheat sheet to figure out where all 12 of the chalices were but it only helped me get one and now I have 11 of the 12.

I am wondering if some of the dudes who had them in the orc camps disappeared after I laid waste to the towns for the rebels?

Anyway, I am not sure what to do. I spent four hours going to each spot on the walkthrough and I haven't had any luck.

Is there some type of cheat thing I can do to get the last one? Any other ideas?

The insert cheat for the fire chalice is It_FiremageCup.
Don't ask me how to insert it, i've never used cheats in G3. Maybe you can find some more info here: *click* (http://www.worldofgothic.com/gothic3/?go=g3cheats).

I found it but it won't let me save it. Maybe it's a Vista thing?

When I try it says:

"Cannot create the C:program files\GothicIII\ini\ge3/ini file"

"Make sure the path and file name are correct"

Any ideas?

You can activate the marvin mode in the game:

..
2. activate the marvin mode (type in "marvin" during the game - do it fast)
3. open the console with this "^" button:if it doesnt work, try this button "`"..


If this doesn't work try it with the option, which you have tried in your post.
But first copy this file on your desktop, change it there and copy it then to the orginial directory and overwrite the original file.
But before you should make backup from your original file.

After cheating the firecup, you should undo the change on this file (if you have used this option to activate the marvin mode, because if not, this mode will be activated for the whole game and this might be cause some undesired effects.

Marvin mode doesn't work b/c when I type M it brings up the maps in the game.

Hmmm, I'm a bit hesitant to mess with the INI file as told but I'll probably try it soon if nothing better comes along. ;)

Two Fire Chalices are in Varant, nine in Myrtana, and one in Nordmar. A good starting point is to use the interactive map.

I tried running around to all the places where these chalices are supposed to be located. I found one by beating someone up for it.

A few I can't verify b/c the people are long dead or ran off (i.e. towns where I purged them of the orc menace and they sided with the orcs).§cry

I have to find the paladin in the desert but I'm pretty sure I got the chalice after we killed the sand beast.

On the one hand you need at first a command to that code.
Type: spawn It_FiremageCup
And on the other hand you should consider upper and lower case. That's important in Gothic 3.
