Hey All,

Im currently using Windows Vista to run Gothic 1. I got everything else to work with the exception of speech and music. Has anyone gotten the music to work while running Gothic 1 on Vista? The sound effects still seem to work (at least in the main menu), and the videos work well, but seemingly no music nor speech.

EDIT- Okay, speech works, just not the music. Also all sound effects definitely work. Just need some tips to get music to work.

I don't think there's any solution, maybe if you dwnload the latest Codecs or maybe the latest Service Pack, who knows. Really now why even using Vista? It would be wiser to stick with XP for a few more months, as it is now you're only wasting memory.

You didn't even check the Gothic 1 Technical FAQ (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/showthread.php?t=449659), didn't you? :(

As far as I know, that also fixes the problem for Gothic II as well.

Where do you extract the files to? There is no auto install in the .rar, I assume it's under system folder or miles folder.

You just copy-paste them in the system file. And these files also work for G2! :D:D:D
