I keep having my G3 crash and it says "where is the guru" and gives me an error code. I am on a asus laptop. 3 GB Ram Geforce 9500m gs video card, Intel centrino doe processor, and I am on Windows Vista. My two error codes are 001b:00FDAD9A and 001B:3019B3B8 if that matters. Thanks for any help! G3 is an awesome game like G2 and this is the only bug that really seems to be causing problems..... =/

Here is my dxdiag hope it helps, but I am pretty sure my system can handle the game.

§welcome to the club,
Your rig CAN run Gothic 3,try doing a clean-uninstall of G3 and then install Community Patch 1.6.

I did uninstall the game and reinstall it, I had 1.6CP installed too, and I would put xp on but I don't have a free partition... Any other ideas that have worked?? I know this is a bug many people have and I thought after a few years it would be worked out but I was wrong haha

Do you have also DirectX 9.0c or only DX10? DX9.0c is mandatory for Gothic 3.

btw: Most of the guru errors have differnt causes. There isn't "one" guru ;)

I am a vista user (forgot to try) and switched the .exe to run in windows xp sp2 and that fixed the error!!!!!! That is the first time ever changing the compatibility has ever work for anything haha so thanks for the help and I;ve been playing G3 non stop now. So any vista users with the guru error try swithing the compatibility because it seemed to work for me
