Hello everyone, Atreyubeat here. I have played Gothic 3 from the day it was released on and off, and never really found a fix for this. So I figured it was time to try the knowledge of the community. I know that it has to do with the multi-core processors, but when I am in game it will sometimes just speed up to incredible speeds if I mouse look in a certain direction. I hear disabling the affinity of one of the processors fixes this along with the mutli core patch and all that. But I have tried those and nothing really worked. I was wondering if anyone else has found a fix for this. Specs are, AMD +4800 X2, 9600 GT, 3GB of RAM, and Windows XP 32 bit....thanks all.

Hi!
Try the latest patch 1.6 which disables the (not correctly working) Multicore support:

I guess you already know this:

AMD also has a patch on their main site, for multil core processors.
I've found it helps a lot of game work better, not sure if it will fix it for Gothic 3 though.
You can find it on this page.

It's AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4
Hope that helps.
