Question about patching G3

Hello everyone, I am new to the Gothic series, but I have heard many good things about it. I have just installed Gothic 3 on my pc and had a few questions.
I noticed patch 1.5 contains all previous community patches. I am trying to update my game before I get started and was wondering if patch 1.6 is the latest, and does it contain all previous community patches in it as 1.5 does?
Can you go from 1.12 to 1.6, or is it possible to even skip 1.12?
As I said I am new to this game and any help or other recommendations on the subject would be greatly appreaciated :D

There are 2 versions of CP 1.6:
Full patch (contains also the fixes from patch 1.12): download (http://www.worldofgothic.com/dl/?go=dlfile&fileid=132)
Incremental Patch (install it only if you already have installed the patch 1.12 or the previous community patches): download (http://www.worldofgothic.com/dl/?go=dlfile&fileid=133)
So if you just installed your game and are not yet on 1.12 the patch you are looking for is the full patch.

One comment on CP 1.6: This patch has no multi-processor support (1.5.2 in contrary does). If you have an older dual-core system you might be better off with 1.5.2.

And a final word: this is the forum for Gothic 1 & 2. The Gothic 3 Help (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=263) is the better choice for G3 related questions.

I do have a dual core amd but I already installed 1.6, ah well
