Where Is The Guru? Huh?

hmm i installed gothic 3 and patched it with 1.7 1.8 1.9 and 1.6+1.12+all the other communty patched and the game still throw me a "Where is the guru" problem every 5 min
what the hell i did wrong?

What's the program that it asks to be installed when you install the game? Windows C++ 2005 or something like that, so, have you installed that?

Don't install all these patches...and not in this order.

Reinstall the game and install only community-patch 1.6 full (link (http://www.worldofgothic.com/dl/?go=dlfile&fileid=132)). It includes all other patches.

but change log show only that 1.12 patch there and the community patches

And patch 1.12 includes patch 1.07 till 1.09.

Do you have problems with savegames you created with the current installation or with one of the previous ones (the first one should not happen, the later one I would expect).
And btw: I don't know what version your G3 has when you install it. There are two CP 1.6: the full (if you are not yet on 1.12) or the update (if you are already on 1.12).

i installed gothic3 again after half year that i didnt play...all new...nothing from old saves or old patches...i installed all the patches from 1.7-1.9
and then installed community patch 1.6+1.12
and i still get those guru problems

Forget about 1.07 and 1.09. The important things is the CP 1.6.

Right after you install G3 from you DVD: if your G3 shows a version number less then 1.12, then directly install CP 1.6 full version (and only this patch). Otherwise install the CP 1.6 update version (and only this patch). Don't install any other patches in-between.
