I can't use magic

i startet playing Morrownd yesterday FOR THE FIRST TIME (i had the game for 3 moths i think) well i use swords,Axes,Cheats everything utill i lear to play normaly but i can use magic:

1.u know about the HEALING RING that u find at the begin of the game i follow the instructios EQUIP it and press R nothing happens
2.everytime i buy spell Scrolls they simply dont exist at my Inventory i just spend my $$ for nothing pls i need this help faster what i need to do to get MAGIC working?

1. open up your magic menu via right click, same as you do to access your inventory. if it does not show up, then click the magic icon in the lower left area (right next to your weapon's icon). select the spell or the healing ring in the lower area of the magic menu which auto-equips the ring by the way. after that, hit "r" and so forth...
2. scrolls should show up in the same (lower) area of the magic menu and additionally as items in your inventory. did you notice the selector buttons on top of your inventory? try the "magic" button.

If you press "r", you're in magic mode and should see the hands of your character. Then you have to press the left mouse button to activate the spell or magic item. Could this be the problem?
